Tang Yuli, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Policy, Regulations and Supervision under the Ministry of Science and Technology, gave a comprehensive account of the preparation for the 2018 National Science and Technology Activity Week and its major demonstration activities. Wu Jianmin, Deputy Director of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, introduced the Beijing Science and Technology Week, while Yu Yubin, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Science, Technology and Climate Change of the China Meteorological Administration, presented the 2018 National Meteorological Science and Technology Activity Week. The press conference was hosted by Lü Jing, Deputy Inspector of the General Office of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
This year marks the 18th anniversary of the National Science and Technology Activity Week, which has grown into a public science and technology brand with rich content, high public participation and great social influence.
The Office of the Organizing Committee stressed that all localities and departments should earnestly implement the Central Committee's Eight-Point Regulation, avoid formalism, prioritize interactive participation to enhance activity effectiveness, and strengthen safety precautions to ensure the solid and successful operation of the Science and Technology Activity Week.
